Increase Efficiency
This latest release introduces new ways to help users work smarter. Now in SOLIDWORKS 2024, users can collaborate with anyone using a SOLIDWORKS version that is up to two years prior to the latest release date, users can do so by saving files as a previous release. Within parts and features, there come some impressive enhancements, from accelerating the placement of Hole Wizard holes, to creating bidirectional linear patterns with just a single click. When working with assemblies, users experience new defeature rule sets, the ability to spend less time repairing missing references for linear and circular component patterns, and more precision when mating components with an existing mate reference.
Accelerate Productivity
SOLIDWORKS 2024 is bringing a range of enhancements to ensure its users are working faster. When it comes to drawing and detailing users can now gain more insight by easily viewing overridden dimensions and speed up detailing drawings by utilizing collinear dimensioning for chain dimensions. The enhancements don’t stop there, users can also speed up detailing drawings with new improvements to reattaching dangling dimensions.
In sheet metal, designs of sheet metal parts are sped up with new Slot Propagation, Tab and Slot features to improve manufacturability of parts, and a new Rip Tool that can be used to convert thin-walled cylindrical and conical solid parts to sheet metal with less effort.
Enhanced Collaboration
SOLIDWORKS is best used together in a collaborative environment, with the ability to empower users with additional product development disciplines. From data management to simulation, SOLIDWORKS 2024 offers new features that enable users to work more effectively together. With SOLIDWORKS PDM, users can expect shorter response times, and improved data protection and tracking. In SOLIDWORKS Simulation, you can now detect regions that run into contact convergence issues with new Convergence Check Plot, utilize streamlined workflows to specify hot and cold runner systems and more!
New in SOLIDWORKS Electrical, users can improve documentation with auto-ballooning, improve 3D performance by creating or updating only current electrical routes, and show three or more consecutive component marks. With SOLIDWORKS Visualize comes even more realistive and enhanced consistency with Physically Based Rendering materials. SOLIDWORKS Composer is also getting an update with the ability to view PMI exported to a SMG file in 3DPlay.
With all of these new enhancements, 2024 is shaped up to be a year of working smarter, faster and together with SOLIDWORKS. These top enhancements are bringing new ways to innovate and stay ahead of the competition. Looking to learn more about these new improvements?
